Our hopes and prayers go out to everyone affected by the
horrendous events arising from hurricane Katrina. As we write this, the full
extent of the human damages is unknown. The material damages are more easily
estimated. The cost in human suffering is likely incalculable.
Someone very close to us has lost his home in hurricane
Katrina. We have volunteered the services of the firm pro bono to help him with
the insurance claim process through this difficult and trying time. We encourage
others to do what they can to help the tragic victims of this natural disaster.
We recommend that aid be given through the American Red
Cross, the Salvation Army, or other organizations directly on the front lines
providing the most essential services. Some of these organizations can be found
